Title IX Coordinator and Deputy Coordinators

Meet GRCC's Title IX Coordinator and Deputy Coordinators

Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) is committed to ensuring that all students, faculty and staff have access to a safe and equitable learning and working environment. The Title IX Coordinator and Deputy Coordinators are responsible for ensuring compliance with Title IX and other laws related to sex discrimination, sex-based harassment and misconduct.

Our team is here to provide information about your rights, available resources and the options for addressing concerns related to sex discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. We work to ensure that all reports are handled promptly, fairly and in accordance with GRCC policies and federal regulations.

What we do:

  • Provide a safe, neutral and supportive space to discuss concerns.
  • Explain the reporting process, supportive measures and resolution options available.
  • Connect individuals with campus and community resources for care and support.
  • Ensure that GRCC meets its legal and policy obligations under Title IX.
  • Oversee prevention and training programs to promote awareness and compliance.

You do not have to file a formal complaint to speak with the Title IX Coordinator or a Deputy Coordinator. If you have any questions about Title IX, need support or want to discuss your options, we encourage you to reach out.

Below, you’ll find contact information for Dr. Lisa Thomas, GRCC’s Title IX Coordinator, as well as Deputy Coordinators, who are available to assist with questions, reports, and resources.
