Office of the President

Dr. Charles W. Lepper

As President of Grand Rapids Community College, I am honored to bring more than 25 years of leadership experience in higher education to guide our institution into a new era of growth and innovation. My commitment is to evolve our offerings and ensure GRCC meets the needs of both current and future students.

My vision for GRCC revolves around four key pillars:

• Employing top-tier faculty and staff to provide an exceptional educational experience.

• Strengthening K-12 education and business and industry partnerships to enhance opportunities for our students.

• Fostering a culture of inclusivity, diversity, and belonging where every student feels valued and supported.

• Empowering students with skills and knowledge essential for success in an ever-changing world.

To achieve these goals, GRCC is adapting its curricula and integrating new technologies to better serve a diverse range of learners. We are also expanding our services to support the holistic well-being of our students and striving to be more equitable and inclusive in all our endeavors. Moreover, we are expanding our partnerships with employers to ensure students are well-prepared for high-demand careers within the communities we serve.

GRCC believes in the power of community and collective effort in achieving personal and academic success. We are here to help every student achieve their dreams, every step of the way. Together, we’ve got this.

Sincerely,

Charles W. Lepper, Ph.D. signature
