Community Resources
There are several resources for students who live near the Lakeshore Campus. This page will help you locate those resources quickly.

United Way – 211

United Way – 211 connects people to more than 2,900 services in Kent, Lake, Mason, Mecosta, Newaygo, Osceola and Oceana Counties including food, shelter, utility assistance, disaster recovery, childcare, transportation, and more. 

Community Action House

Community Action House is a non-profit located in Holland whose goal is to end poverty and help families prosper in the Holland community. Through their different programs such as the walk-in food pantry, Community Kitchen and Community Garden, Community Action House offers food and resources to those in need. There is also walk-in Stabilization Services which can provide instant resources, food, personal hygiene items, and referral services. Gateway Mission

The Gateway Mission Emergency Shelter Program provides food, clothing, and on-site childcare among other resources for those experiencing homelessness. 
The Women & Children’s Center is located at 356 Fairbanks Avenue Holland, MI 49423 and can be reached at (616) 928-3469.
The Men's Center is located at 166 South River Avenue, Holland, MI, 40423 and can be reached at (616) 928-3413.

His Harvest Stand (Zeeland)

His Harvest Stand (Zeeland) offers food, clothing, and resource connections for the Zeeland community. Additional satellite pantries in Zeeland and Holland are available.

Holland Rescue Mission (Family Hope Ministry Center)

The Holland Rescue Mission (Family Hope Ministry Center) is a Christian Community resource that provides shelter and food for women and children. They have food service daily to those in need. On top of providing food and shelter, The Family Hope Ministry Center can provide clothing, personal case management, financial accountability, employment assistance, parenting classes, children's programs, and religious offerings. Inclusive Ottawa County

Inclusive Ottawa County offers many community services to support diversity and equity within the community. Services include: Annual community events, clothing closets (kids-adult clothing), a food and hygiene pantry, Monday morning playdates for kids, and more!

Muskegon Rescue Mission

Muskegon Rescue Mission'sCommunity Center is located on 1747 Seventh Street, STE B (Park Street Entrance) Muskegon, MI 49441. Services include a food and clothing pantry, childcare services, nutritional cooking classes, financial literacy support, and more. A free community lunch is provided daily during business hours.

Ottawa Food is an Ottawa County program that has a calendar of open food pantries and events with free food. Salvation Army Holland Food Pantry

The Salvation Army Holland Food Pantry is available to those in Southern Ottawa County & most of Allegan County who are in need of some supplemental pantry items. They can provide specialized food items for those with distinctive dietary needs due to existing medical conditions. These include, but are not limited to: diabetes, heart disease, need for gluten-free foods, etc. Individuals in food crisis should make an appointment by calling the office.
