In the Baking and Pastry Arts Certificate, you will dive right into honing your skills. We help you develop baking and pastry proficiency and mentor you as you build your creativity.
Why Baking and Pastry at GRCC?
The GRCC Secchia Institute for Culinary Education prides itself as a leader in culinary education. Our chef instructors will tutor you in hands-on kitchen labs, and you will learn scratch and convenience baking. You will practice precision techniques in the pastry and baking lab, and get plenty of practice decorating cakes and creating sugar and chocolate pieces.
Following the program, you will have developed the skills necessary for an entry-level position in:
- Retail deli-bakeries.
- Pastry and bakery shops.
- Big commercial bakeries.
- Hotel and resort bakery and pastry kitchens.
Certified Pastry Culinarian
When you earn the Baking and Pastry Arts Certificate, you will be qualified to take the American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certified Pastry Culinarian (CPC) written and practical exams.
