Accessibility and Disability Support Services

GRCC's Disability Support Services provides academic support to qualified students with documented disabilities. Any student requesting an academic accommodation must schedule a meeting with Disability Support Services and provide documentation of disability and to complete the appropriate paperwork.

Identity Verification & Security

Test and exam proctoring is available and offered to students based on the instructor or course requirements for in person assessments. More information can be found on GRCC's Academic Testing Services webpage.

Each student has a unique user authentication that includes a username and password that enables access to the Online Center (PeopleSoft), Blackboard and other campus services.

Online resources at GRCC are also under GRCC's Acceptable Use Agreement.

Student Complaint Process for Out of State Enrollments

GRCC works in cooperation with related departments and statewide through the MCO (Michigan College's Online) to comply with governmental regulations to provide online learning courses to students outside of Michigan.

Grand Rapids Community College students should follow the GRCC Complaint Process and the GRCC Student Academic Grievance Procedure for final grades, and in compliance with the following Higher Education Opportunities Act of 2008 the following information is also available for out of student students:

"§ 668.43 (b) Institutional Information - Electronic Code of Federal Regulations (b) The institution must make available for review to any enrolled or prospective student upon request, a copy of the documents describing the institution’s accreditation and its State, Federal, or tribal approval or licensing. The institution must also provide its students or prospective students with contact information for filing complaints with its accreditor and with its State approval or licensing entity and any other relevant State official or agency that would appropriately handle a student’s complaint."
