- Location: Parking area behind a home on the 100-block of Prospect NE
- Nature of Incident: Theft of a vehicle
- Suspect Description: No suspect description is available at this time
- Status of Investigation: The investigation is ongoing, and the suspect has not been identified or apprehended
Safety Tips and Resources:
The following precautions are recommended to enhance your safety:
- Lock your vehicle when it is unattended, whether you are parking in a GRCC parking ramp, on city streets, or in any public area.
- Never leave valuables in plain sight, such as wallets, phone, cash or change, backpacks, briefcases, or electronics.
- Be vigilant and aware of your surroundings, especially in parking areas.
- Park on campus in one of GRCC parking ramps near other parked cars when possible.

Colleges are required by federal law to notify the campus community of a significant emergency or dangerous situation involving an immediate threat to the health or safety of the on-campus community. Examples include but are not limited to: closing the college due to extreme weather conditions, serious illnesses, or active shooters.
Timely Warning
Colleges are required by federal law to notify the campus community whenever there is a continuing or ongoing threat so members of the campus community can protect themselves from harm. Examples include but are not limited to: criminal homicides, sexual assaults, robberies, aggravated assaults, burglaries, arson, or any other crime fitting the criteria.
Public Safety Advisory
GRCC may elect to issue a public safety advisory to students and employees in situations in which serious or significant crimes occur outside of our Clery reportable geography. This information will be provided to students and employees to make them aware of ongoing criminal investigations that may be of concern to our campus community and to aid in the prevention of similar crimes.
