Are daily health screenings required?

Daily health screenings are no longer required.  Students should monitor their daily health and make appropriate personal decisions accordingly.

Who do I notify if I test positive for COVID?

Students

Students should follow established class absentee procedures and notify their faculty member(s).

Employees

Employees should follow their normal absentee procedures and notify the appropriate supervisor.

I tested positive, but I don’t have any symptoms. Can I still come to work/class?

Students

Per CDC and MDHHS guidance, individuals who have tested positive must isolate for 5 days before returning to campus. Only return to campus after 5 days if fever free for 24 hours, and any symptoms are significantly improved. Mask for an additional 5 days

I live with (or was notified that I was exposed to) someone who has tested positive for COVID. Can I still come to work/class?

Students

Individuals who have been exposed to COVID should wear a high-quality mask for 10 days, and get tested on day 5.  If symptoms develop, do not come to campus.

Can I work or attend class from home if I’m required to isolate?

Students

Faculty members are encouraged to provide flexibility as it relates to absence related to COVID or other illness, however any remote learning options are at the discretion of the instructor.

Employees

Supervisors will determine if individuals can effectively work from home during isolation and are encouraged to provide as much flexibility as possible.  Human Resources can assist if necessary.

Must I use sick time if I’m required to isolate or quarantine?

There are no longer any additional “COVID” sick days.  Employees who must be absent from work will need to use time from existing leave banks.

I am (or live with) immune-compromised. Can I require my office area/class to wear masks?

Students

Masks are optional for all individuals.  Individuals should feel comfortable asking others to mask up under special circumstances and we encourage respect from others in that instance.
