New Student Orientation

What to expect from us

At your onboarding session, we will cover key items needed as an incoming GRCC student. We will also help you register for your fall and winter classes based on recommendations created for you by your academic advisor. 

What we need from you

We must have English placement scores at least one week prior to your session. We will accept SAT/ACT scores, English Placement scores, or college transcripts with at least 12 college credits. Please note that if we do not receive these scores on time, we will have to cancel your session.

Tips for virtual sessions:

• Tech: If possible, you should join the Zoom call on a laptop or computer. It can be difficult to see the presentation and navigate the registration system via a mobile device.
• Be on time: We will start the session promptly at the given time. If you join too late, you may not be permitted into the session and will have to reschedule.
• Update your Zoom name: Please ensure your Zoom name matches the name we have on file for you.

Orientation sessions

Additional Fall 2025 orientation dates will be added in mid-April. There will be no more summer 2025 sessions posted. Summer 2025 students are encouraged to complete our online orientation.
