Grand Rapids Learning Center

In partnership with Grand Rapids Public Schools, GRCC developed this program to re-engage 16- to 19-year-olds who seek to obtain a high school diploma.

Grand Rapids Learning Center at GRCC is a unique college-preparatory high school completion program. Established in the fall of 2011, this program is a partnership between  GRPS and GRCC. We offer a unique experience for students who seek to recapture credit deficiencies, who are interested in dual enrollment and identifying a career path, and the transition to college and/or workforce training upon high school credit completion.

Located downtown Grand Rapids on GRCC’s DeVos Campus, 435 East Fulton Street (between College and Prospect Avenues), our office is in Sneden Hall, Room 110. Students accepted to GRLC earn a high school diploma via on-line learning and are offered the opportunity to dual enroll at GRCC if they meet established requirements.

Initial Program Enrollment Requirements

  1. Must be a sophomore in high school based on credits, not age.
  2. Must be between the ages of 16-19.
  3. Must be committed to excellent attendance and high school credit completion.
  4. Must complete the on-line application and meet with staff to determine eligibility prior to enrollment.
