Dr. Matt Douglas joined the GRCC Biology faculty in 1993 after working as a full-time temporary faculty member in the English Department. He completed his B.A. in English and Anthropology from the University of Michigan, his M.S. in Aquatic Biology from Eastern Michigan University, and his Ph.D. in Entomology and Biophysical Ecology from the University of Kansas. He currently teaches our Anatomy & Physiology, Animal Biology, and Field Zoology courses. His areas of expertise are entomology (specifically, monarch butterflies), comparative animal biology, evolutionary biology, and authoring. In his spare time he enjoys traveling to exotic places, hiking, and reading.
