Leanne Challa’s passion for learning was shaped by her parents who supported her curiosity about the Humanities from a young age. Literature, theatre, music, and writing are all interests she engages with in our local community. As the Program Manager for Transfer Bridges to the Humanities at U-M, Leanne is able to create transfer events and opportunities that provide direction to students as they follow their own transfer path to the University of Michigan.
After studying for a year at GRCC, Leanne transferred to the University of Michigan where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in both English and Communications. She later earned her Master of Arts in Humanities at Central Michigan University. Her relationship with GRCC continued as she began teaching as an adjunct faculty member for English, Humanities, and Communications courses in 2002. Leanne is excited to apply her knowledge of the classroom, the student, and the transfer experience to her new role.
