Before starting his role as Associate Dean of the School of Liberal Arts in 2020, Dr. Grant Snider served as Associate Professor and Department Chair of Humanities and Human Sciences at Point Park University in Pittsburgh. He then spent 14 years at Ferris State University, where he served as Department Head of Humanities for five years before returning to faculty for nine years.

During his time as a professor, Dr. Snider taught a wide range of Philosophy and English courses: Ancient and Medieval Philosophy, Modern Philosophy, Introduction to Ethics, Applied Ethics, Biomedical Ethics, Engineering Ethics, Contemporary Philosophy, Philosophy of Sport, Existentialism, Therapeutic Philosophy, Philosophy and Psychology, Intro to Humanities, Love and Utopia, Poetry Writing, World Literature, Literary Criticism, and English Composition.

His most recent scholarly focus has been on therapeutic philosophy—a combination of contemporary Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and the Ancient Philosophies of Stoicism, Epicureanism, and Skepticism.
