A Michigan native, Professor Caldwell earned his BS and MFA in photography from the Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, CA. In addition to teaching he is a practicing lens-based artist, and a commercial photographer and videographer. His award-winning work has been featured in the Communication Arts Photo Annual, Manifest International Photography Annual, and has been exhibited internationally and nationally. Professional clients include: Anaheim Ducks, Vans, Cambro, Gensler, and Sotheby’s International Realty. A regular participant in ArtPrize, he has reached the top 25 on two occasions. After teaching for 9 years in North Carolina, Professor Caldwell is excited to join the GRCC faculty back in his home state.
