Construction Electrical Apprentice Program

Are you interested in becoming an Electrical Apprentice?

Our Construction Electrical Apprenticeship is an educational program for those employees working under a licensed journeyman or master electrician who want to meet the required related training instruction (RTI) hours established by the Department of Labor.

Our Mike Holt certified craft instructors teach courses using the nationally recognized code-based curriculum from Mike Holt Electrical Training & Exam Prep. Students are expected to have access to a computer and to have fundamental computer skills, including how to email, navigate the internet and use Microsoft Word. Classes are held at the GRCC Leslie E. Tassell MTEC.

GRCC is the preferred educator for electrical apprentices. Through GRCC's School of Workforce Development, the Construction Trades Electrical Apprenticeship program is geared toward people who want to begin or advance their careers in the construction electrical industry and for electrical contractors who want to train their existing employees.

Training is only offered in the electrical (ELEC) construction trade.

Our mission is to provide a quality learning experience for students pursuing a Department of Labor (DOL) apprenticeship credential in Electrical. This mission also includes partnering with the construction industry to provide continuing education courses, new programs and other educational needs.
