Notice of Exchange (Marketplaces) to Employees
Under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), Grand Rapids Community College provides employees with a written notice providing information about the exchange (also referred to as “marketplaces”).
The exchange notice will provide employees with information about the marketplaces, how to request assistance in accessing the marketplace, describe the availability of a premium tax credit (if applicable) and explain the implications for the employee if they decide to purchase a qualified health plan though a Marketplace.
If you are benefits eligible
Grand Rapids Community College will continue to offer valuable health insurance. If you are currently eligible to participate and maintain your benefits eligible status, you will still be eligible to participate in the employer-sponsored plan. The employer-sponsored plan may be your best option for coverage. If you plan to continue participating in the employer-sponsored plan, the Marketplace Notice may not impact you.
The Marketplace can help you evaluate your coverage options, including your eligibility for coverage through the Marketplace and its cost.
