Summer Madrid strives to apply her past experience as a first-generation college student and an AmeriCorps College Completion Coach in her current role as an educational training specialist for the Strengthening Community Colleges Healthcare grant. She works with students to support them during enrollment, connecting them to resources during their program, to successfully graduate with a healthcare certificate, degree and/or complete their apprenticeship.
Summer Madrid graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is currently working on a Master of Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Central Michigan University.
