Sherry Sokolowski

I am proud to serve as the Recruitment and Programming Intern for the Experiential Learning Department at Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC). I am currently a student at Ferris State University, where I am pursuing my Bachelors in Business Administration. However, in 2019 my collegiate journey began at GRCC 2019, where I earned my Associate of Arts degree in 2022.

In my role I serve as a key point of contact for students interested in GRCC’s Honors Program, Study Away, and Academic Service Learning experiences. My goal is to guide students through each step of the process, whether they are looking to expand their academic horizons through study abroad opportunities or engage on and off campus through our co-curricular initiatives.

In addition to facilitating virtual and in-person information sessions, I help coordinate events that foster a sense of community among our students, such as the Honors Program Kickoff, Honors Day of Service and our annual Honors Celebration event, the Academic Honors Recognition Reception as well as multiple workshops. I also support program retention, ensuring that students stay informed about their program progress, from acceptance to completion.

I look forward to continuing to support the next generation of students as they explore the wide variety of experiential learning opportunities available at GRCC!
