I received my B.S. in Chemistry in 1997 from Grand Valley State University and I recently earned a Master’s degree in the area of inquiry based science education. Before coming to GRCC in 2001, I worked in industrial and environmental laboratories for 10 years where I gained many lab skills including the maintenance and operation of various analytical instruments. I currently coordinate the Physical Science Department's laboratories, help with instrument maintenance and teach CHM 110 and CHM 131 lab courses.
