Lisa Dopke joined the Grants Department in December of 2008. As the Director of Grants, she provides leadership in all aspects of proposal development in support of the GRCC’s mission and strategic initiatives, acting as a liaison to local programs and state and federal agencies to promote GRCC as an effective resource for achieving educational and economic development strategies. As the director, she is also responsible for developing processes to ensure GRCC’s grant-funded initiatives adhere to GRCC and sponsor policies, and supporting the faculty and staff who are undertaking grant-funded projects. In addition to her day-to-day responsibilities, she serves as a proposal peer reviewer for state grant programs, editor and peer reviewer for academic journals, and in various other volunteer roles with organizations that support grant professionals, including the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), Grant Professionals Association (GPA), and others. Lisa attended Grand Valley State University where she completed a bachelor of science in legal studies, and two master’s degrees—one in communications and the other in criminal justice. She also earned a certificate in editing at the University of Chicago.
