I graduated from Hope College with a Bachelor's Degree in Learning Disabilities and from Western Michigan University with a Master's Degree in Literacy Studies. I have been teaching College Reading and English Composition as an adjunct at GRCC since 2010. Before that I taught in Holland Public Schools. I love the diversity of my students here at GRCC, and I am passionate about creating a community of life-long learners. I greatly enjoy learning from experiences that my students share through their written work. Outside of teaching, you may find me at the beach with friends, traveling for adventure, reading thought provoking books, busting a move to music, or spending time with my husband Bill and my blended family of five children.
