Hey! I'm John, and I'm incredibly happy to be a part of the GRCC community! I teach geology in the Physical Sciences Department. I hold masters degrees in Geology, Biological Anthropology, and Geographic Information Systems. My primary research interests are high-resolution spatio-temporal correlations related to Eocene fossil localities in the western United States. However, my most recent work has focused on a collection of fossils from GRCC recently determined to have been collected by a world-renowned fossil hunter in the late 1800's- early 1900's. I am very proactive about involving students in ongoing research opportunities and promoting student involvement in professional publications and presentations.
