I am avid animal, snow and DIY lover originally from Brooklyn, NY. I attended SUNY Brockport where I earned a B.S. in Chemistry (with ACS certification). After working for a year in the Chemistry Laboratory at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital, I attended Wayne State University where I completed my Ph.D. in Chemistry.
I started my teaching career as an adjunct at various community colleges (Henry Ford, Macomb and Washtenaw) and at Wayne State University. In 2012 I was hired full time at Wayne State University as a Senior Lecturer. I have taught General Chemistry, Organic Biochemistry and Organic Chemistry I & II, both lecture and lab.
After moving to the Grand Rapids area, I started teaching at Grand Valley State University in August 2014 where I taught Introduction to Organic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry I & II labs.
I am very excited to be teaching at GRCC and be able to interact with my students, get to know them and help them learn material that will help them with their future careers and their lives. I love the small class sizes and hope that the students do too!
