Alyssa Gamez serves as the Student Conduct Coordinator whose responsibilities include managing student conduct cases, advising Campus Activities Board, and implementing educational programming on sexual misconduct prevention and alcohol/drug misuse prevention.
Alyssa has worked in higher education for nine years in different roles and departments, but most recently in a university health and wellness department doing similar work as she is today. Since moving to Grand Rapids in 2019, Alyssa has worked in community outreach at the YMCA of Greater Grand Rapids and as a project manager at West Michigan Works.
Prior to beginning her career in higher education Alyssa graduated from Spring Arbor University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and then from DePaul University with a Masters degree in international public service as well as public health.
Alyssa is originally from Reading, Michigan and enjoys spending time with her husband and family, doing paint by numbers projects, staying in the house and listening to music by Lecrae.
