Basu Members Meeting

We believe in fostering an inclusive community that values diversity and promotes education for all. The BASU is open to all students interested in multi-ethnic concerns and activities. We celebrate Black excellence and unity at GRCC while empowering the next generation of leaders. Our organization promotes knowledge of family history, attends cultural events, and emphasizes education. We sponsor social gatherings, provide a support system for students of African descent, and encourage racial healing through interaction with students of other cultural backgrounds.

During our first meeting in September, we’ll discuss how we can create a welcoming environment for all students and support each other through shared experiences and activities. What we do includes creating an atmosphere of inclusiveness through fun activities, academic support through study tables, offering financial support through grants and scholarships, empowering future leaders through leadership training, and contributing to the community through voluntary service. Join the movement—your input is crucial in shaping our path forward!

From Wednesday, September 4, 2024 12:00 PM to Saturday, January 4, 2025 1:30 PM EST at GRCC RJF.
