Cross country teams perform well against tough competition

GRCC is playing five games over a five-day period on the road trip, and coaches planned educational experiences along the way.

GRCC was the only community college team competing in the 5-kilometer event, the Central Michigan University Jeff Drenth Invitational.

Teammate Isaac Slomp also is committed to playing at a four-year school in Indiana, attending Franklin College.

Kasper earns more than $40 an hour working for Consumers Energy, and will earn more as he moves through the apprenticeship program.

She recently joined the writing staff for “Inside the Score,” a YouTube channel with 272,000 subscribers that produces content to deepen the appreciation of classical, film and art music.

Nguyen opened Monsoon Vietnamese Cuisine at Monroe Center this summer .

 GRCC, ranked No. 11 in the NJCAA Division II preseason poll, opened against the defending region champions, Terra State Community College, which is ranked No. 6 in the preseason poll.

The Excellence in Education awards were established in 1989 to honor GRCC employees for their contributions.
