Up to 20 hours per week; M-F 8 am - 5 pm
• Serve as a college representative for the Office of Student Life and Conduct Be the first point of contact to students, faculty and staff
• Run a cash register and sell items to students, Issue RaiderCards and other College ID’s, Answer phones and direct calls as needed Manage bulletin board postings
• Assist with campus activities and events & connect students and staff to Raider Connect
• Assist and help maintain the student life email inbox by replying to general questions and ensure follow up on email threads
• Maintain food pantry donations and assist food pantry participants
• Articulate what the office of Student Life and Conduct does and what it offers GRCC students
• Help students looking to start an organization and connects them to resources
• Other duties as assigned by the Student Life and Conduct Staff
• Assist with Get Help application
• Desire to help and provide great service to students and community members.
• Willing to learn and follow Student Life and Conduct customer service model
• Strong writing skills and office email etiquette
• Manage and post bulletin board postings
• Punctual and polite Exceptional teamwork skills
• Quick to learn and adapt to change
• Must interact well with people in stressful situations
• Good communication skills to work effectively with people of diverse ages, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
• Strong PC application skills (word, excel, etc.) and campus software (Atrium, Student Center, email, Blackboard, etc.)
• Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs.
Desired qualifications:
• Prior cash register and phone experience
• Prior customer service experience
• Comfortable giving instructions to individuals and small groups of visitors
• Enrolling for the entire academic year 2024-25
• Student leadership involvement/interested in campus events
