● Welcome students and guests to GRCC by fostering a friendly, supportive, and welcoming environment
● Answer questions regarding college programs, services, and student technology
● Respond warmly to all questions, find the information if possible, or connect them to the appropriate department
● Check-in and schedule students for their appointments and events
● Assist with general office duties such as covering the front desk, answering phone calls, text messages, emails, and other inquiries in regards to the College Success Center
● Assist with ordering office supplies, printing, and organizing the supplies
● Assist with department events and programs as needed
● Maintain the student coffee and snack station
● Support various student recruitment, outreach, and onboarding activities such as Block Party, open houses, New Student Advising and Registration sessions, etc.
● Other responsibilities determined by Support Professional or Associate Director of the College Success Center


● Must be enrolled in at least six credits during Fall semester
● Continuing employment through upcoming term is preferred
● Strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively with people of diverse ages, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds
● Must have a track record of excellent punctuality and good attendance
● Ability to work with others
● Excellent customer service skills
● Ability to perform duties with limited supervision
● Must be dependable and reliable
● Must have positive attitude and enjoy working with people; be friendly, cordial, and a team player in a multi-person office
● Comfortable using and learning new technologies

Desirable Qualifications:

● Customer service experience is preferred.
● Familiarity with basic computer functions (Microsoft Word and Excel, internet, e-mail, etc.) and campus software and accounts (Online Student Center, Navigate, Blackboard, etc.)
● Exceptional communication skills
● Bilingual or multilingual preferred but not required
● Prior knowledge of GRCC campus and student services is a plus
