Call Center Student Assistant

15-28 hrs/wk; Flexible, Monday - Thursday 7:45am - 6pm & Friday 7:45am-5pm (must be available 15-28 hours per week).
Provide excellent customer service which includes: general and specific information regarding the college and the admissions/registration and testing processes. Ability to work with students of various ages, ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and experiences.
• Answer multi-line phone system with top notch phone skills and professionalism.
• Provide accurate information on the breadth of college departments, programs and services on the phone.
• Comfortable using/learning new technologies and assist with technology issues.
• Present a positive, knowledgeable image for the College, and provide quality customer service, by answering multi-line telephone system.
• Assist students with registration.
• Assistant all students with questions related to enrollment through answering inbound calls.
• Assist students with setting up and using MyGRCC.
• General office duties assigned by the Call Center Coordinator.
• Must possess excellent communication and telephone answering skills.
• Must be articulate and have a good command of the English language.
• A minimum of 6 months customer service experience is preferred.
• Prior knowledge of GRCC campus and student services a plus but not required
• Basic computer, word processing and internet skills and a willingness to learn Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft.
• Ability to function effectively with a large staff and work together as a team.
• Must have a positive attitude and enjoy working with people.
• Possess good organizational, problem solving and customer relations skills or willingness to learn.
• Self-disciplined and have a strong work ethic.
• Dependable, punctual, and have a good attendance record.
• Willing to assist with different job functions as needed during peak times.
