David DeBoer is GRCC's Executive Director of Financial Aid. David has over 25 years of financial aid experience. He has served students at four different higher education institutions, including GRCC. He holds degrees from Calvin University, Western Michigan University, and Davenport University. He has been active in State, Regional, and National level financial aid discussions. He is past president of the Michigan Financial Aid Association and has served on various committees. He has presented on various financial aid topics to parent groups, financial aid professionals, and others involved in higher education. In 2015, he was a member of the negotiation team that led to the development of the Federal REPAYE student loan repayment program. Students motivate David. Helping students reach their goals and seeing them obtain their degree or certificate is the greatest source for motivating him to help other students.
