Everyone, it seems, has a GRCC story. We hear them as we are out and about in our community.
They are stories of people overcoming obstacles. They are stories of people beginning their higher education pathway or reaching their academic goals and transferring to a four-year university to earn their bachelor’s degree.
They are stories of people coming back to enhance their skill sets or to gain new skills they need for good jobs. They are stories of employers who are able to add jobs because of a partnership with GRCC that can provide specialized training for key positions. They are stories of success.
And, for many of the people we encounter, their stories are made possible by YOU, our donors. The generous support we receive from you allows the college to touch lives and change them forever.
Flip through the pages of the 2017-18 GRCC Foundation annual report and you will read the stories of people who have been empowered by the support that comes directly from donors like you.
Our donors are members and organizations in our community, including faculty and staff. They support scholarships for students of all ages, breaking down barriers that would otherwise stand in the way of success. They help us renovate and expand facilities so all students can learn in contemporary learning settings and with the resources they need to step into a rapidly changing economy and world.
And friends, there are more stories to write. West Michigan has made tremendous progress in recent years, and we all should be proud of that. But we, as a community, won’t truly thrive until everyone has opportunities for success.
We humbly thank you for the support you have provided in the past and we ask that you continue to invest in Grand Rapids Community College, the work we do and the people we serve.
