Curtis Davison, Zach Pangborn commit to NCAA Division II programs

Two GRCC men’s basketball standouts — Zach Pangborn and Curtis Davison — are moving on to NCAA Division II programs. Davison is committing to Livingstone College, and Pangborn will be transferring to Davenport University.

Davison finished his career at GRCC with the fourth-highest scoring total in NJCAA Division II play at 24.2 points per game while pacing the Raiders with that same figure. He led the Raiders in steals with 50 and points scored with 756 while shooting 41.2% from the field and 36% from behind the arc.  Davison was named All-Region XII, All-MCCAA, All-Western Conference First Team and to the District 9 All-Tournament team.

Pangborn’s sophomore season witnessed him shoot 43.3% from the field and 38.3% from behind the arc as the Raiders’ third-highest scorer, averaging 15.1 points per game.  He finished the 2017-18 season with 39 steals, 108 assists and 545 points, earning All-Western Conference Third Team honors as well as being named the District 9 Tournament MVP.

The backcourt duo led the Raiders to a 26-10 overall record and an eighth-place finish at the NJCAA DII National Tournament in Danville, Ill., this past season.
