Victoria Powers

Victoria Powers has been with GRCC since 2013 working in the GRCC Financial Aid Office before accepting the position of Program Director with TRIO/SSS in 2016.  She has worked in higher education since 1995 and began her career at Grand Valley State University in their Financial Aid Office.  She loves working with students and their families and firmly believes that education and knowledge is the key to personal success.  She earned her BA in Public Administration and Non-Profit  Management and a M.Ed emphasizing Educational Technology from GVSU.  She also has a MA in Counseling Psychology from Spring Arbor University.

Vicky provides personal counseling, career counseling, financial aid advising, academic planning and transfer planning.  She also manages the day to day operations of the Student Support Services and works to increase the awareness of the program at GRCC.  In addition to her TRIO work she teaches CLS 100 for first generation college students.
