Prof. Amy Kudrna attended Northern Michigan University where she received her B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry with an emphasis in physical chemistry. At NMU, her research focused on a computational chemistry project based in the molecular modeling of a herbicide-degrading P450 enzyme. It was in graduate school where she first started teaching as a teaching assistant. After NMU, Professor Kudrna worked as an analytical/research chemist in OTC pharmaceuticals, but she missed teaching and started teaching part-time at GRCC in 2007. She has taught numerous introductory and general chemistry courses at GRCC and CHM 210- Inorganic, Organic and Biochemistry.  She loves teaching at GRCC because of the wonderful students.
