After completing The ABC's of ADAAA, participants will:
- Understand the process for requesting an accommodation as a GRCC employee and how to advocate appropriately for a student or colleague.
- Know the responsibilities as a supervisor or instructor engaging an employee or student perceived to be able to benefit from some form of accommodation.
- Understand and clearly define the difference between job related leave and accommodation requests.
- Comprehend the difference between Essential and Marginal Job Functions and be able to write job descriptions which meet EEOC, DOJ and ADAAA standards.
