Certification Exam results, Employer Survey and Graduate Employment

 

The total number of graduates who passed the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification examination as graduates testing within one year of graduation in 2014-2016 was 59 out of 60, which is a pass rate of 98%. During that three-year time period, the program had 60 graduates. www.nbcot.org

Employer Survey

The employer survey identified that Grand Rapids Community College graduates are well prepared for the role of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by demonstrating the ability to provide treatment and act as a member of the treatment team.

The graduates have reported employment as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in a variety of settings including rehabilitation hospitals, psychiatric facilities, school settings and long term care providers.
