About the Award
The "Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award" recognizes a faculty member who exhibits excellence in their use of instructional technologies to enhance their teaching and improve student success. Faculty are nominated by their peers and the winner is selected by the DL FAB (Distance Learning Faculty Advisory Board).
A rubric is used to evaluate the submissions that correspond to the following nomination questions:
- List the instructional technologies that the nominee uses.
- How are the instructional technologies listed above used by the nominee in their teaching?
- How does the nominee's use of instructional technologies promote and contribute to student success?
- Why is the nominee's use of instructional technologies considered excellent?
The award is presented each spring as part of the Spring Teaching and Learning Showcase.
