DSS Scholarship Information

Please Review Scholarships below. To apply, print off Foundation Scholarship Application and submit to office of Disability Support by the March 1st deadline.

JANET KETCHUM P.O.H.I. SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship will be awarded to any Physically or Otherwise Health Impaired student, including recovering chemical or alcohol dependent individuals. Candidates will be recommended by the Disability Support Services office staff at GRCC.  The student must be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours and have a minimum 2.75 grade point average.

 

HY AND GRETA BERKOWITZ SCHOLARSHIP FOR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

An annual renewable scholarship will be awarded to a part-time or full-time student with a physical disability or learning disability.  First preference will be given to students whose disability substantially affects mobility.  Candidates must have a GPA of 2.5 or better and be seeking a degree.

 

JIM MCLAUGHLIN MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

An award will be made annually to a full-time or part-time GRCC student who is a wheelchair user, majoring in Mechanical Drafting, and has attained a minimum 2.5 GPA; first preference will be given to full-time students.  Awards are renewable.  If no wheelchair users apply, the scholarship will be given to a full-time physically disabled student, majoring in Mechanical Drafting, with a 2.5 or higher GPA.

 

QUOTA INTERNATIONAL OF GRAND RAPIDS LEGACY SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Student must be taking 6 or more credit hours. Student must be hard
of hearing, deaf or pursuing an education to assist the deaf or hard of
hearing. An award of $250.00 will be made during Fall and Winter
semesters. Student must have a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship funds will
apply directly towards cost of student’s class. Quota International
will receive notification of award recipient
