FPE Report Guidelines

Effective reports include the following general characteristics:

  1. A comprehensive reflection of your experience.
  2. One or two vivid examples of what you learned about yourself as a faculty member from engagement in each element.
  3. Concrete examples of what you may do differently as the result of engaging in these activities; possibilities for change or professional growth.
  4. Each concise report is well-written: free of grammatical and spelling errors; complete sentences; vivid examples that bring each brief report to life.

Observation

Required Documentation to Include:
Observation Summary

Specific Characteristics of Report:

  • Includes a statement of what exactly you had asked your peer to observe.
  • Includes a brief description of how you and your peer observer prepared for and debriefed the observation.

Element of Teaching

Required Documentation to Include:
Peer reviewer's report

Specific Characteristics of Report:
Includes a statement of what exactly you had asked your peer to review.

Assessment of Student Learning

Required Documentation to Include:
The form made available by the Curriculum Specialist or one created by you to document your assessment.

  • Describe what you learned from this activity.
  • Describe what you might do differently as a result of what you learned.
  • Include a statement of how your engagement in Assessment of Learning may change your practice as a faculty member.

Teaching Effectiveness

Professional Development

Your GRCC Training Summary and / or web links to conference or other professional development programs, agendas, symposia, etc.

If applicable, you may also include a link to a recorded performance or other live activity (e.g., dance, public lecture, recital, installation, competition, externship, etc).

Letters or other documents of acknowledgement from internal or external leaders or colleagues with whom you collaborated to complete the Project.

  • Include a statement of how your engagement in the Substantive Project may change your practice as a faculty member.
