GRCC is governed by the board of trustees, which consists of seven members elected at large in biennial elections. The president of the college serves as an ex officio member of the board. The trustees serve without compensation for overlapping terms of six years. Trustees operate under the policy governance model. The board meets once a month in a public session.

February 17, 2025
The Grand Rapids Community College Board of Trustees will hold a work session from 1:30-4 p.m. and a regular board meeting, beginning at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025. These meetings are open to the public under the Open Meetings Act, 267 and will be held on the 5th floor of the Raleigh J. Finkelstein Hall (RJF).
