Students and Tutors working in the Academic Support Center

Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Academic Support Center website!  We hope you find the information useful.  Take some time to explore the site.  There’s a range of content here from practice tests for your classes to links to services offered at GRCC.  We’d also like to invite you to visit the Academic Support Center or one of the many subject-specific tutorial labs in person.  We offer a variety of services to help you become a better learner to help you achieve your academic and personal goals here at GRCC.

Online tutoring services are also available to students currently enrolled in an online class and are accessed through Blackboard Instant Messenger (BBIM).  Each subject-specific tutorial lab will offer online support during their regularly scheduled hours. Once a student is logged into BBIM, they will select the “School” TAB and then their choice of lab in the “Tutorial Labs” listing.

In addition to tutoring and support, all the tutorial labs offer open computing for all GRCC students.

Subject-specific labs offer software for that field.  For example, the Biology Learning Center offers software for Anatomy and Physiology; the Math Lab offers Maple 10 and the English and Language Lab offers access to reading and foreign language software.

If you have questions about our services or want to know more information about anything you see here, please feel free to contact us via the information below, or visit the tutoring office!
