Adult Programs

Our competitive academic degrees and programs are built to connect students to their field. Programs in our work pathways provide students the knowledge and skills to step into a high-demand career, and programs in our transfer pathways set students up to seamlessly transition from GRCC to a four-year college or university as a junior.

More than 5,000 GRCC students a year follow one of our transfer pathways — and when we ask alumni about their GRCC experience, the recurring theme is that they were more prepared for their junior year course work than their counterparts who attended that university for their first two years.

Academic Outreach offers adults the opportunity to take classes where it is convenient for them. Our Lakeshore campus provides five sites for students in the surrounding Grand Rapids area where they can take classes, acquire a certificate and even earn an entire associate degree at certain locations.

We also provide community resources for learning English, preparing for the citizenship test, building computer skills, acquiring a workforce certificate and offering financial literacy classes.
