UPDATES
9/4/02 - The actual shift in traffic on
Division for northbound closure at Lyon
and opening of Lyon to through traffic west will happen tomorrow, Sept. 5th in the
evening. All the signs and message boards will be in place that night. |
WHERE / WHEN:
· Lyon St. between Division Ave. and Ionia Ave. will be closed, and Division at the
intersection of Lyon and Division will be down to one lane in each direction (southbound
and northbound) from Aug. 10 - Sept. 2, 2002.
· Division Ave. between Lyon and Pearl will be closed down to one southbound lane from
Sept. 3 - 17, 2002.
HOW TO AVOID IT:
· Seek alternate routes using the detours provided on this map
· Plan ahead. Allow yourself plenty of time to get in and out of the downtown area
· Carpool
· Have someone drop you off at campus
· Use the city's busing system or the DASH lots (*see below)
ABOUT DASH LOT 8:
The Downtown Area Shuttles (DASH) run from 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM and will take you from Lot 8,
located at the corner of Summer and Pearl, to four drop-off spots:
· Bostwick and Lyon
· Ottawa Street near Monroe Center
· Monroe Street near Louis
· Pearl Street east of Campau
After 2:00 there's a regular DASH Shuttle pick-up and drop-off site located at the Waters
Building on Lyon St until 6:00 PM.
Best of all, you can park ALL DAY for only $1.25 (quarters only) by using DASH Lot 8.
