Community Resources
Community Resources
In addition to affordable, excellent education, Grand Rapids Community College provides a wealth of opportunities for the community that it serves. From the Heritage Restaurant to performing arts to services like our laboratory Preschool; we are the community's college. This section of the site is designed to put the Grand Rapids community in touch with the wealth of programs and services that GRCC provides for them (many of which are free of charge).

Performing Arts
Grand Rapids is home to many fine artisans, musicians and performers; many of which seek out GRCC to help them hone their craft. GRCC recognizes the importance of the arts to a well-rounded identity and presents the community with a wide range of concerts, exhibits, and performances. In addition to our Art Gallery that is open to the public, our Music Department offers frequent concerts throughout the year. Our Theater Department puts on a variety of fine productions each year, and plays home to several local theater groups in the city at GRCC's Spectrum Theatre.
Cultural Opportunities
Ever more important in our increasingly-diverse and global society are opportunities to interact with and learn about other ethnicities, religions, and cultures. GRCC offers to the community a superb assemblage of learning opportunities, from our Diversity Lecture Series to conferences, marches and celebrations.
Community Services
GRCC offers a variety of services to the community, many of which benefit our students by providing them with the hands-on experience critical to a solid education. Our Laboratory Preschool, Academic Service Learning Program, Heritage Restaurant, and Dental Hygiene Clinic all serve as classrooms for our students to gain on-the-job experience to help reinforce their lessons while contributing to the community. Programs like our annual Family Matters day, and our Learning Corners demonstrate our commitment to helping put the tools of self-improvement in the hands of our community members.
