Distance Learning

Grand Rapids Community College meets the needs of the community by providing flexible learning opportunities in a timely manner. Some of these opportunities are listed below. To explore them in more detail or find out about the support we offer, see the links on the left side of this page. For specific distance learning classes, check out the Online Student Center.

Online - delivered over the Internet through Blackboard®.

Hybrid - also delivered over the Internet through Blackboard®, but include scheduled campus instruction. Campus visits will be no more than one-half of your class time.

Interactive TV - delivered in a ITV classroom and broadcast live to another remote location to accommodate students that live outside Kent County or who are high school (early college) students.

Live Cable - delivered live from the GRCC campus to your home. Available to the Grand Rapids, GR Metropolitan and Wyoming area over Comcast  Digital Channel 903 (the College Channel). Students enrolling in these courses interact with their instructor via telephone and have the option of watching at home or coming to campus.
